Pulse Films has announced the arrival of writer and director Thea Gajić to its roster.

Born and raised in South London, Gajić's work spans film, commercials and spoken word. Her debut feature Surviving Earth (Film4, BFI) and acclaimed short films have established her as a distinctive new voice who brings a rare emotional instinct and visual confidence to everything she makes.

Recognised as one of Screen International’s prestigious Stars of Tomorrow, and with a growing body of work across film, music and advertising, she is a filmmaker with a powerful instinct for telling stories. Most recently, she has brought that instinct to Transport for London’s The Stop Is Just The Start campaign with a series of poignant spots through VCCP.

“Seeing Thea’s incredible debut feature, Surviving Earth, and hearing her speak at the Q&A, we were immediately struck by her ability to tell powerful human stories and command a room," says Pulse MD Jamie Walker.

"There’s a real sensitivity and emotional intelligence to her filmmaking and an ability to draw out authentic performances, find the nuance in people and their experiences to tell stories that feel both intimate and universal. Her experience as a filmmaker brings a unique perspective and depth to the branded space and we couldn’t be more excited to continue her journey with us here at Pulse."

Thea Gajić adds: “Pulse has long been a home for showcasing excellent talent and exemplary craft. Their work and passion continues to push the best in creative talent to the forefront and I am excited to be a part of the family and continue that endeavour with them.”
