The nominations for the MTV Video Music Awards 2026 have been announced with Madonna scooping more nominations than any other artist, followed by Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter.

All four artists are up for Artist Of The Year - with Bruno Mars and Morgan Wallen - while Madonna's Confessions II The Film is up for Video Of The Year, with Ariana Grande's Hate That I Made You Love Me, Bruno Mars' I Just Might and Gener8ion's Storm I & II - all four also nominated for Best Direction - plus Sabrina Carpenter's Tears and Taylor Swift's The Fate Of Ophelia.
