The deadline for entry into this year's UKMVAs is fast approaching. There is just a week left to enter into nearly 40 categories at the biggest celebration of music video creativity.

Entry to the UK Music Video Awards 2026 is open until midnight on Monday, August 3rd. 

If you have a video, live video or special visual project ready or a body of work for our individual and company categories, now is the time to enter. There are 38 categories available at this year's UKMVAs.

16 genre categories celebrate directors working across the musical spectrum: pop, r&b/soul/jazz, dance/electronic, rock, alternative and hip hop/grime/rap, plus 4 dedicated Newcomer director awards across these genres. In addition,the UKMVAs celebrate live videos, special visual projects and low budget videos and visualisers.

There are a range of Technical Achievement awards - for Cinematography, Colour Grading, Editing (including specific newcomer categories), VFX, Animation, Production Design, Styling, Choreography, Casting and Performance - all linked to a the practitioner's work on a specific music video.

Individual and Company awards celebrate a sustained body of work over the past year: director, new director, producer, executive producer, creative commissioner, agent, and production company.

Films entered in any category must have been completed between August 1st 2025 and July 31st 2026 to qualify.

That will be followed by two rounds of judging in most categories, with an announcement of nominations in late September. And the UK Music Video Awards 2026 ceremony will be held at The Roundhouse in London, on Wednesday, November 4th.
