Writer-director Olivia De Camps - who has recently directed videos for Marina and Rebecca Black - has joined SMUGGLER for global representation.
A Dominican-American writer-director based in New York, her genre-blending style fuses film, music, and fashion with cultural nuance and striking clarity. Her debut short Chico Virtual was acquired by HBO/MAX and screened at festivals nationwide. Her most recent film Sirena, won Best Narrative at NFFTY and was featured at Locarno, Aspen ShortFest, Palm Springs, and HollyShorts.
De Camps is part of a new generation of filmmakers redefining visual storytelling through bold aesthetics and an emotionally grounded lens. Her work is rooted in dynamic movement, stylized visuals, and a documentary sensibility, often exploring the beauty and complexity of womanhood across Latin America and the Caribbean.
With a foundation in music-driven work, she has directed music videos for artists like Marina, Nathy Peluso, Maria Isabel, Yuna, Ruel, and Rebecca Black, alongside campaigns for brands such as Kim Shui and RUIBuilt. Whether in narrative film, commercials, or music, her work feels personal, modern, and culturally resonant, marking her as a standout voice in today’s evolving creative landscape.
"My gut tells me that Olivia really is a generational talent - I couldn’t be happier that she’s joined SMUGGLER and I can’t wait to make some incredible work with her," says Elizabeth Doonan, Head of Music Videos & Special Projects at SMUGGLER.
"What she has built over the last few years is so strong, her voice and style really emerging. From getting to know her I know that there is so much more that we haven't seen yet, feeling very excited to be connecting with her at this particular point in her career. Let’s go!"
