Known for their genre-defying creativity that blends live-action with animation, Waaaw, the dynamic directing duo of Jack Antoine Charlot and Sidney Van Wichelen, is the latest signing to the evolving Pulse roster.

Together as Waaaw, The France- and Belgium-based duo have carved out a distinct creative identity of hyperreal aesthetics, surreal humour, and a keen insight into culture and youth trends. Their portfolio spans campaigns for global brands like Adidas, Nike, Swatch, McDonald's, and Asus, as well as award-winning music videos for SCARR, Tahiti Boy and Krisy.

The pair have joined forces as Waaaw after enjoying individual success. Charlot is a visionary animation director, with 10 Vimeo Staff Picks and recognition from various festivals. From Mika’s Lollipop to Netflix’s Big Flo & Oli documentary, his work celebrates the fusion of animation with emotional depth. Van Wichelen, named Cannes Lions’ 2022 Director of the Year, combines vibrant visuals, rich narratives, and a touch of humor in both ads and short films, always striking the perfect balance.
