Stitch Editing has announced the promotion of Chris Wilson from assistant editor to full editor on the company's main commercial roster, marking an exciting milestone in his career with the company.

Wilson joined Stitch in 2017 and sine then he has also edited high-profile music videos and commercials for major brands, in addition to his main roole as assistant to senior editors at the company. His projects include Dave’s Funky Friday featuring Fredo, directed by Nathan James Tettey, which has amassed over 100 million views.

His portfolio of music video work also features edits for artists like Stormzy, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Burna Boy, and Nothing But Thieves. He’s also cut commercial spots for brands including Urban Outfitters, Champion, Adidas, Chelsea FC, New Balance, and Specsavers.

Chris’s passion for editing was sparked while creating skateboarding videos. Moving on to study Film and TV at London College of Communication, specializing in editing, he quickly honed his skills and began carving out his place in the industry.

Most recently, Wilson worked on Heirlooms, a powerful short film created for Suicide&Co with agency VML. The hard hitting project, which reflects executive producer Will Castle’s personal experience following his father’s suicide, was produced by Sticker Studios and directed by Luke Brookner.

“We’ve seen Chris grow into a brilliant and versatile editor with an innate sense of storytelling," says Stitch Editing MD Angela Hart. "His work on both music videos and commercials has been exceptional, and we’re incredibly excited to have him move into this new role at Stitch. We can’t wait to see where his talent takes him.”
