KODE have announced the arrival of director Michael Holyk at the London-based production company for music video representation.

Holyk joins KODE having made his mark through collaborations over the past decade with top-tier artists such as Sam Smith, Becky Hill, Anne-Marie, Niall Horan, Rudimental, and Rag’n’Bone Man.

Known for his emotionally resonant music videos and documentary-style storytelling, his career began in his hometown of Nottingham whhile still at school, where his A-level project amassed 8 million YouTube views. He then began his professional career in the early Noughties directing music videos for a then-unknown Jake Bugg.

"Jake was hustling to land a record deal, and I was doing everything I could to get noticed as a director," Holyk recalls. "We were both hungry, both from Nottingham, and that shared drive, combined with a love for the homegrown, made it all feel real.”

Since then, Holyk's ability to capture raw, authentic emotion has led to high-profile campaigns for brands like Apple Music, Beats by Dre, Samsung, and Hilton, as well as a directorial stint in Bollywood. Now he has joined KODE for music video representation.
