Friend have announced the addition of director Sharif Abdel Mawla to their roster for representation in the UK.

Bringing cinematic flair, surrealism, and nuance intertwined with profound depth to his work, Sharif Abdel Mawla is a Dutch director with Egyptian roots. He has collaborated with renowned brands such as Adidas, Google, and Puma, and has also directed exceptional promos for leading artists such as Sevdaliza, directing the outstanding video for Everything Is Everything.

A regular in publications like Nowness, Hypebeast, Another Man, i-D, Fast Company and It’s Nice That, Sharif has won Webby and Cannes Lion awards, as well as acclaim from 1.4. Most recently, he made his feature debut with Casting Call - a story about Amir, an aspiring actor with dreams of success who finds himself ensnared in a nightmare of his own making.
