SMUGGLER have announced that Dutch director Judith Veenendaal has joined the production company in London for representation in the UK.

Veenendaal has considerable experience in commercials, with work for Amazon Music, BBC, Hyundai, Under Armour, G-Star, UNICEF and Lincoln, where she worked with Serena Williams. She also directed the music video for Yseult's Noir, which has achieved recognition at Ciclope and won Best Music Video at the Netherlands Film Festival.

Veenendaal grew up in a creative household, the daughter of a jazz musician and sculpture artists. She began her filmmaking career at The Hague’s Royal Academy of Art, delving into the world of storytelling through film, photography and the performing arts. With an instinctual grasp of light, composition, and the surreal, Judith weaves narratives that are visually engaging and deeply poetic.

Her accolades also include Cannes Young Director Award, Creative Circle Best Commercial Director Award, and Vimeo Staff Picks.
