Nominees have been announced for the MTV Video Music Awards 2023, with Taylor Swift leading the field among artists with eight nominations, followed by SZA with six nominations, and several artists - Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo, and Sam Smith - with five nods.

The awards show takes place on Tuesday, September 12th at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.
