Promonews - 31st July 2023
The founders of production companies Pavilion Works and Accolade have announced the launch of DOMA, a new London-based post-production company specialising in Colour and Edit.
Co-founders Jake Evans and Morgan Faverty previously founded Pavilion Works, a social-first content production company, in 2017, followed by sister production company Accolade. Now, they have officially launched DOMA, to offer the high-quality post-production services they are already known for, while also expanding their scope of potential clients and collaborators in the industry.
DOMA's mission is also to foster emerging voices within the post-production, and its initial roster includes colourist Nielsan Bohl and editor Sam Hardy, both of whom have worked with a diverse array of clients such as eBay, Stormzy, Nike, Peroni, and British Vogue. DOMA plans to further develop its roster and aims to offer VFX services in the near future.
Bohl is one of the youngest colourists working in London, his speedy trajectory has made him an exciting emerging talent within the industry. His ability to work across filmic palettes to glossy commercials has seen him in high demand working for a broad range of brands from the likes of British Vogue to eBay and Peroni.
Sam Hardy's editing portfolio boasts an impressive selection of big artists and brands, working for the likes of Stormzy, Jorja Smith, and Central Cee. Sam's commercial work has seen him cutting dynamic films for household brands including the likes of Nike, Mango, and Sony. Sam is known for pairing his thoughtful approach to narrative with dynamic techniques to bring a project to life.

Working closely with branding Explorers Club Studio, Evans and Faverty sought to create an instantly recognizable brand that stands out in the competitive post-production landscape.
"We wanted to infuse fresh energy into this sector, moving away from the often corporate identities seen in post-production," explains Faverty. "The brand had to reflect our sense of play while showcasing the high level of craft we are known for."

To achieve this, they designed an iconic Gargoyle character that represents the spirit of creation within post. The Gargoyle character is versatile and can be used across various formats for merchandising, marketing, and creating unique characters for every talent that joins the roster.
"This move feels natural for us, given our deep understanding of our clients' needs within this sector over the years," adds Evans. "We are excited to broaden our range of collaborators and work with new talent in the industry."
