LEAP’s Film and Post team are continuing their longstanding post-production partnership with the UK Music Video Awards, working on the on-screen content for the live UKMVAs ceremony later this month - and also sponsoring the prestigious award for Best Special Visual Project.

LEAP is working on creating the nomination packages for the event in close collaboration with the UKMVAs team and designers StudioThomson, continuing a relationship with the premier celebration of UK and international music video production which began fourteen years ago with the first awards show in 2008.

The UK Music Video Awards 2022 will take place for the first time at Magazine London, overlooking the River Thames, on Thursday October 27th. Tickets are on sale now.

UKMVAs' Event Director Louise Stevens says: “We’re delighted to be working with the talented editors and producers at LEAP once again this year to create the on-screen packages for our Awards show. They are an essential force in the creative collaboration between the UKMVAs, our art directors at StudioThomson, animator Jake Greenwood and sound designer Rob Simons. The roots of LEAP’s moving image team date back to the 1990s, making them one of the most experienced post houses in London. Back when the MVAs started, the team were digitising stacks of digibeta tapes in a Soho machine room. Nowadays, LEAP provides secure high volume file management through virtual server technology. In the past year, the size of the post-production facilities has doubled, with a bigger team of producers and editors enabling LEAP to better support clients across a broad range of sectors and post-production requirements.

For the UKMVAs, LEAP works closely with co-founders Louise Stevens and David Knight and their team to help bring their creative vision to life. No celebration of music video filmmaking talent would be complete without showing selections from the videos themselves, and the company's motion graphics editors are creating the video packages and opening montage for projection onto the big screens. This year’s awards show features nearly forty categories with six nominations in each.
