Pulse Films have added Icelandic director Agusta YR to their roster for commercial and music video work in the UK and US.

With a highly distinctive and exciting style resonating through her work, she has already made her mark at Pulse with the surreal, colourful and playfully subversive video for violinist and singer Sudan Archives' NBPQ (Topless), released last month.

Agusta YR has gained a reputation for employing state-of-the-art technology and VFX to explore contemporary social topics, such as body and beauty standards, and the ever-growing digital world that we inhabit. In 2020, she was featured in the reputable “Dazed 100” list of innovative creators by Dazed Media and featured in the British Fashion Council’s New Wave: Creatives 2020 list of innovative creators.

Agusta studied Photography & Video at The School of Visual Arts in New York City. Since graduating in 2017 she has extensive experience working with world-renowned brands, publications, and artists, such as Vogue, Paper Magazine, LOVE Magazine, Gucci, Moschino, Michael Kors, Converse, Free People, Nordstrom & ASOS, The 1975, Remi Wolf, Leyla Blue & Yang Li.
