Women at Work Editorial move up in London, NYC and LA

Promonews - 11th Apr 2022

Work Editorial has announced eight promotions across their London, New York and Los Angeles bases, including new MDs appointed for the NY and LA offices, and Executive and Associate Producer appointments in the London office. All the appointments involve female employees at Work being given promotions, new challenges and opportunities.

Erica Thompson (above, top left) and Marlo Baird (top row, second right) are now the Managing Directors of the NY and LA offices respectively. Erica was the first EP in the US skilfully helping build Work Editorial from two rooms in NY into three offices worldwide. Marlo was the first EP in LA, going on to head up a hugely successful office.

Alejandra Alarcon (above, bottom right) is now the new EP in New York. A thoughtful and pragmatic team leader, she is also a team player who instinctively knows exactly what is right for each situation. Los Angeles sees the addition of a new EP, the brilliantly creative and hugely experienced Remy Foxx (bottom, second left), who after joining Work towards the end of last year, immediately made her mark to become an indispensable part of the team.

Meanwhile, editor Anne Perri (bottom, second right) has relocated from London to the East Coast and editor Audrey Weiner (top, second left) has joined New Wave, Work’s breakout roster for emerging editing talent.

In London, Ellie McNaughtan (above, bottom left) has been promoted to Executive Producer. Ellie started life at Work as an assistant editor, and is now employing her natural creative insights into both the editing process as well working with the whole team. She joined Work in 2009, assisting Work's roster of senior editors in London, NY and LA. Ten years later he adapted seamlessly to a production role, rapidly rising to Head of Production and has now been promoted to EP.

Also in London, Lola Cookman, (top row, right) Work’s newest APA graduate, has moved up to Associate Producer and
is not only looking after the office but starting to produce jobs.

“I am immensely proud of the whole Work family," says Work Editorial founder Jane Dilworth (top row, centre), explaining why she made these key promotions. "Both Erica and Marlo have been incredible at keeping us all working smoothly on some really brilliant projects during such challenging times. So this progression for them feels a very natural step as they move into more of a managing role within the company. It really is truly wonderful how they both work with each other and myself, there is honesty, trust and faith. A teamwork that is always great to be a part of and inspired by.

"To have two such strong EPs in Alejandra and Remy is the perfect combination for the teams at both of the US offices. I’m thrilled to have Audrey on the New Wave roster and to see what this brings and Annie is a brilliant addition to NYC."

On Ellie and the London team, Jane adds: “The time is right for Ellie to take the London helm. From being the best assistant and then producer, Ellie is trusted and adored by us and clients alike so is absolutely the perfect person for the job in London. Lola’s professional growth over the past year has been great to watch and see a very bright career ahead of her.”
