Kid Studio, the Toronto-based creative studio whose acclaimed work includes videos for the likes of Drake, The Weeknd, Disclosure and Vince Staples, have joined FRIEND for commercials and music video representation in the UK.

Kid Studio was founded by designer/director Glenn Michael and his partner Vincent Tran in 2014, originally as a boutique graphic design studio. They then teamed up with Christo, a multidisciplinary artist/director from Toronto, and have rapidly gone on to direct commercials and music videos for huge global brands and artists.

Commercial clients include Nike, LG, Mitsubishi, and McDonalds. The team have also become well established themselves in music videos with distinctive and innovative work for Big Sean, 6lack, Drake, Migos, Future, and French Montana, and latterly making a series of videos for Disclosure including the UKMVA-nominated video for Birthday. They have most recently collaborated with Toro y Moi on the video for Postman.

In all they have landed nominations across a number of categories like Best Direction and Video of the Year for award shows the MTV Video Awards, UKMVA, BET Awards and the Much Music Video Awards, as well as a Prism Prize Lipsitt award for their creative contribution to the artform of music videos.
