Promonews - 21st Jan 2022

The award-winning Mouthpiece agency announces today an exciting addition to their team with video commissioner Connie Meade from Lunar Sea Creative agency, and its new production company signing Ground Work.

Mouthpiece was launched in 2020 by Claire Stubbs - winner for Best Agent at the UKMVAs in 2020 and shortlisted again in 2021. Mouthpiece is already home to prestigious production companies such as Academy, Partizan and Spindle. Connie Meade comes on board with more than ten years of experience on commissioning distinctive, award-winning videos for the likes of alt-J, Loyle Carner, Tom Misch, Marika
Hackman, Olivia Dean, Lewis Capaldi and more. She has been nominated three times for Best Commissioner at the UKMVAs.

Ground Work, a partner of Europe’s leading music and culture publication Crack Magazine, has recently picked up awards at D&AD, Cannes YDA, 1.4, UKMVA, Kinsale and more. Their directors roster includes Claire Arnold, Will Dohrn, William Child, Luke Casey, Pepi Ginsberg and Christelle De Castro, and has gained critical acclaim at top industry festivals, award competitions and publications.

Claire Stubbs says: "I am thrilled to welcome Connie to Mouthpiece! Her vast experience in the music industry and her exceptional reputation for creative excellence will be a huge asset to all our directors."

Connie Meade adds: "I’m very excited to be joining Claire at Mouthpiece. I’ve always had the utmost respect for her work and we have a shared passion in (the best!) directors and music videos. I’m really looking forward to bringing my commissioning experience to the directors on the roster and adding to Mouthpiece’s run of iconic, innovative work in the world of music videos."

Connie will continue running Lunar Sea, which provides bespoke marketing and creative commissions for artists including Tom Misch, Olivia Dean, Palace, Sigrid, Joesef, Franc Moody & Eloise. "We are very excited to start representing Ground Work, they have built up a well deserved reputation for making ground-breaking videos and bring a unique perspective to their work on top of being great to work with, we’re big fans all round!" add Mouthpiece.

Aaron Willson, executive producer & founder of Ground Work, says: "We're very happy to be starting 2022 by partnering with Mouthpiece. As part of the Crack Magazine family, music videos will always be integral to what we do at Ground Work and we feel Claire and Connie are the perfect team to help our continued growth in this area. Their creative sensibilities align perfectly with our approach to filmmaking so, coupled with their vast combined experience, we're confident of creating fantastic work together this year."

Ground Work has also developed Three Minutes; an incubator scheme for young directors from underrepresented groups wanting to break into music videos, an initiative which gained great support and press from across the industry.

In keeping with their experimental and tech-driven ethos, Ground Work has recently established a 3D volumetric video studio called Good Measure. Using cutting edge technology they have developed in house, Good Measure have quickly established themselves as UK leaders in 3D holographic and XR performances.
