Judging in the UK Music Video Awards 2021 is now open, with the online voting platform on the UKMVAs website now live for Jury Members who have been selected to judge the Best Video by Music Genre, Technical and Craft categories in the first round of judging.

Jury Members who have been selected to judge the Music Genre, Technical and Craft categories are being sent their login details and voting instructions today (August 17th).

Jury Members selected to judge the categories for Live Video, Music Film and Special Video Project will be given access to the voting platform to view the entries, and their voting instructions shortly. Entries in the Individual and Company categories will be open in a few days time.

Hundreds of professionals from all parts of the music video industry in the UK have been invited be Jury Members at this year's UKMVAs. As with every year, they are asked to watch the entries in their allocated category (or categories) and select their 6 favourites in order (1 to 6). In categories with a larger number of entries, Jury Members are asked to select their 10 favourites in order (1 to 10). In certain categories, due to the high volume of entries Jury Members will be allocated one half of the entries to view and to judge. Their scores will then be combined, before the second round of voting.

In all cases, the voting in the first round determines which entries proceed to the second round of judging, where a 'long shortlist' of the top first round choices are viewed and judged again by judging panels. 

Votes in the first round of judging must be submitted by 5pm BST on Tuesday 7th September in most categories. Judging panels will then meet - virtually or in person - for the second and final round of judging from Thursday 9th September until later in the month. 

All the nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2021 will be announced in late September - with the ceremony and aftershow party returning to the legendary Roundhouse on Thursday, November 4th 2021.
