Precious Mahaga joins Agile as Head of Music
Agile Films have announced that Precious Mahaga has been appointed as new Head of Music at the London-based production company.
Mahaga arrives at Agile having worked in music video production for more than past five years, with credits as a producer on videos for Dave, Jorja Smith, Mabel, Little Mix, Arlo Parks and many more, and having worked with a range of directors including Dir. Lx, Aniel Karia, CC Wade, Libby Burke Wilde and Brock Neal Roberts.
As well as producing the multi-nominated video for Jorja Smith's By Any Means last year, Mahaga also produced Joy/Ahluwalia, a short documentary on featuring British designer Priya Ahluwalia's new collection. She also line produced the comedy short Two Single Beds, written by and starring Daniel Kaluuya, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival last year.
She replaces Hayley Williams as Head of Music at Agile, with Williams moving to a new role in the company as executive producer on music, commercial and narrative projects.
"We are incredibly excited to announce Precious Mahaga as the new Head of Music at Agile," says Agile MD/founder Myles Payne. "We have long admired her stellar work as a freelance producer and can’t wait to see what she does with the department. After running the music team with great success for three years Hayley Williams is moving on to become an EP at Agile looking after commercial, long form and music projects."
Precious Mahaga adds: "I'm excited to join Agile's team and am looking forward to working with the directors and developing them. I want to continue to diversify and strengthen the roster and to make some incredible work."
