Lou Jasmine, a London-based filmmaker and photographer, has joined the directing roster at Kode Media for commercial and music representation.
Specialising in culture and music-based documentary, portraiture, and visual content for brands, Jamine's recent work for WeTransfer & Squarespace's Make it Real, featuring influential black women, recently won two Lovie awards.
Her music-based work includes projects for Universal, Warner and Ninja Tune. Her collaborations with artists such as the recent Grammy nominee Jayda G offer the ethereal, hand-in-hand with the domestic, the beautiful with the every day. Lou's recent work with Poppy Ajudah is a perfect blend of her real life work partnered with her eye for the mesmeric.
Her commercial clients include Adidas and Nike, and she has also directed fashion films, recently going live with the graceful and impactful film Black Is Proud.
"I am really pleased that Lou has agreed to join Kode," says Dan Mallerman, head of new business and partner at Kode. "When I met her my instinct told me that she is someone who will be going places quickly, and I want her to do so with Kode. We both said we felt as though we knew one another already, and this convinced me that Lou is the perfect representation of what we at Kode have always set out to be.”
Lou Jasmine adds: “I’m so excited to be joining the Kode family! Not only have they welcomed me with opened arms, they have shown great dedication and commitment to supporting my career and I can’t wait to see what I can achieve with their support."
