UK Music Video Awards 2020: UKMVAs20 goes ahead as planned on Thursday
The UK Music Video Awards has confirmed that the UKMVAs20 awards ceremony will go ahead as planned this Thursday, November 5th, in spite of the imposition of a second national lockdown in England that begins that day.
Having already been planned as a live virtual event, the organisers of the UK Music Video Awards are sticking with the arranged time and date for the ceremony, confident that going ahead does not breach lockdown rules - and that the show can produced taking full safety measures.
Louise Stevens, event director of the UKMVAs, says: “Over the past few weeks, we’ve been watching new restrictions impact colleagues and friends in the community around the world, as well as elsewhere in the UK, so we’ve been getting ready for this. Even some of our own production team will be operating remotely on the night - but have no fear, the show will go on!”
The UK Music Video Awards 2020 awards ceremony will therefore takes place as planned, starting at 7.30pm GMT this Thursday, November 5th, hosted by Becca Dudley. The audience will be able to log in to the awards show portal from 7pm GMT, and be connected to the show throughout, via video technology supplied by Innovate Live!
The UK Music Video Awards 2020 takes place in a live virtual ceremony with audience involvement next Thursday, November 5th.
