The La Guarimba International Film Festival, held in Calabria in August, is offering a free Zoom webinar called Work Rights In The Music Video Industry, with participation from US directors rights organisation We Direct Music Videos.

With a panel including digital marketing manager Miranda Tiano and filmmaker Maegan Houang - representing WDMV - the 90 minute long conference, including Q&A session, will take place on Saturday 20th June at 5pm CEST - or 3pm UK time.   

The La Guarimba International Film Festival announced the Zoom conference with the statement that there will be a full overview of WDMV's aims and achievements since the volunteer organisation began it's campaign for better working practices for music video directors in 2019. 

"During this panel [We Direct Music Videos] will be providing their unique insight to the music video industry. We will also discuss WDMV's recent Pitching Guidelines which promote respect, transparency, and the minimization of free work during the pitching process. We will also hear about the additional director protections WDMV are currently working on in regards to production contracts."
