UK Music Video Awards 2019: Cinelab London sponsoring Best Pop Video UK
The UK Music Video Awards have announced a brand new partner for this year's show - Cinelab London, the UK's leading film processing company.
The company, which provides the widest range of film processing and digital restoration services available in the UK, are sponsoring the award for Best Pop Video UK at the UKMVAs 2019, which takes place in London on Wednesday, October 23rd.
Cinelab London is coming on board for the premier music video awards show in a year in which the use of film in music videos, especially 16mm, has grown hugely. Many makers of music videos have been using the company for processing and scanning in up to 4K.
"We have a team of excellent film specialists, all bonded by their passion for film and the craft involved in the processing and finessing of the format," says Adrian Bull, co-founder and CEO of Cinelab London. "They have been a driving force in re-energising film, by supporting all filmmakers without compromise. Filmmakers are increasingly attracted to using film as their creative medium of choice and the number of productions shooting on film has continued rising steadily in popularity. We are here to make sure the experience is enjoyable, help with budgeting and that the best pictures possible are created."
Opening its doors in 2013, its manifesto is to provide a comprehensive service around film to all kinds of filmmaker - from major studio to first time filmmaker - and also content owners. The company is equipped to cover all areas, from initial negative processing through to a range of telecine, scanning and sound preparation options.
In terms of existing film, Cinelab London also has a talented and knowledgable team to handle all kinds of projects, from straightforward transfers to complex restoration and remastering. It is also the world’s only Film Laboratory handling all film formats: 8mm, 16mm, 35mm and 65mm.
