The next Shiny event, 'Where Are The Women?', is next Tuesday, July 23rd, at Trailer Park/Engine in London, and it is still open for entries - particularly for work by female directors - until this Saturday, July 20th.

"Despite few barriers to entry for making music videos, we at Shiny still get 70% submissions from male directors," says Shiny's Caroline Bottomley. "They’re great videos - but where are the women? We’d like to screen more videos directed by women at our next event, at least half in fact. If you’re an emerging female director who’s good at maths too, you’ll see that now is a particularly good time to submit your work.

"As always, every submitter gets written feedback from 3 of our world-class jury network, and every chance of a free ticket to the event. Selected work is screened, added to the #ShinyList and longlisted for the Shiny Awards."

The all-female panel at the 'Where Are The Women?' event consists of Mia Powell (Prettybird); Naomi Grant (Lambb); Jordan Jeansonne (SHP, Owned By Women); Jo Moore (Engine); and Sara Dunlop (Rattling Stick).

Details and links to submit are here
