Top London edit house Cut+Run is partnering the UK Music Video Awards 2019, sponsoring the prestigious Best Editing in a Video award at this year's show in October.

It's the third year running that Cut+Run have sponsored the Best Editing awards at the UKMVAs, the premier awards show celebrating the art and craft of music videos, reflecting the company's long association with music videos in London and beyond.

And the news comes as the deadline for entries to this year's UKMVAs is about to enter it's final month. The deadline in over 30 categories covering Best Video, Technical Achievement, Individual and Company awards is at midnight (BST) on August 2nd 2019.

Established in London in 1997, Cut+Run is a multi-award winning edit house specializing in cutting short films, commercials, music videos and content. With studios in Los Angeles, New York, London, Austin and San Francisco, the company works with some of the industry’s most prolific directors on some of the industry’s most creative work.

For the past two years, Cut+Run's sponsorship of Best Editing at the UK Music Video Awards has also come with a spin-off event called Deep Cuts, where leading London editors have discussed their work in music video before an audience of industry members and film students. Another Deep Cuts event is planned to take place in the lead-up to the UKMVAs ceremony and party in October.  

"This will be Cut+Run's third consecutive year of sponsoring the UKMVAs Best Editing award," says Toby Abbott, MD of Cut+Run London. "We continue to do so because we are passionate about music videos and the freedom of artistic expression they allow the creative community to embrace."

Entry to over 30 categories at the UK Music Video Awards, including Best Editing in a Video, runs through July. For details of entry, and terms and conditions, visit the UKMVAs website.

Deadline for entries is August 2nd, followed by two phases of judging. Online voting, begins next month, and the nominations for the UK Music Video Awards 2019 will be announced in late September.

The awards ceremony and afterparty will be held at legendary venue The Roundhouse on Thursday, October 23rd.
