Burning Reel appoint Mike Heath as their new EP
Mike Heath has been appointed executive producer at Burning Reel, with the production company's former EP Cal Gordon now taking on the new role of head of production.
After working agency side with the likes of CHI&Partners and BMB, Heath (above) joined Burning Reel as a producer in 2015. He now becomes executive producer at the company, following a series of successes that has led to plans for Burning Reel to expand and strengthen their director roster in the coming months.
“Since joining Burning Reel, I've worked and collaborated with some of the most impressive up-and-coming and established directors, both here and in the US," says Heath. "We've made some fantastic pieces of film, been all over the map and had a load of new experiences - some good, some bad, some never to be spoken of again.
“I want to ensure this is something we continue to strive towards at Burning Reel and I'm looking forward to putting my mark on it with some exciting new signings, implementation of some unnecessary processes and an all-new 'No Trousers Tuesdays'.
"All sorts of stuff is going down over here and we’ve got some great projects on the horizon - 2018 won't know what hit it.”
Former executive producer Cal Gordon will remain in a pivotal role at Burning Reel in the new position as Head of Production. Cal says: “I’m more than pleased for Mike, he’s helped win some amazing briefs over the past two years and produced some world class content and there’s no doubt in my mind that he’ll continue to do so as we head into the New Year.”
