UK Music Video Awards 2017: two weeks to entry deadline for UKMVAs
The deadline for entries to the UK Music Video Awards 2017 is now just two weeks from today (July 19th), with invitations to submit in over 30 categories at this year's UKMVAs, open until midnight (BST) on Tuesday, August 2nd.
Once again at the UK Music Video Awards – the premier awards show celebrating the best work in music videos from the UK and around the world – there are honours for best British and International videos, in each music genre: Pop, Dance, Urban, Indie/Rock, and Alternative. There are five more Newcomer awards for videos by new directors for £5K or less, in each of those music genres.
There are also eight awards recognising technical excellence; plus honours for Best Interactive video, Live Coverage and Best Music Documentary.
Once again, the UKMVAs are also accepting entries for the Individual award categories, for Best Director, New Director, Producer, Commissioner, and Music Artist. In terms of the Best Producer award, the UKMVAs are now accepting joint entries from executive producers and producers who have worked on the same three or more projects over the past 12 months.
The UK Music Video Awards 2017 website is now accepting entries for the following honours:
Best pop video – UK, international, newcomer

All entered work (and work cited in the individual and best production company entries) must have been completed and delivered to its commissioner between August 1st 2016 and July 31st 2017 – so work completed and approved up to and including July 31st will be eligible for this year’s MVAs, but not after that date.
Full definitions of all the categories are available at ukmva.com/categories. Submission of entries - either for a video entry, or an individual - is also made via the UK Music Video Awards website. The cost of each entry is £75 (plus VAT).
If you’re in any doubt about the eligibility of your entry, or have any other queries, please contact the MVAs team on email@example.com.
After the entry deadline, the first round of judging for the UK Music Video Awards 2017 will take place in August, with invited MVA Jury Members judging all the entries via the MVAs online voting platform in the first round of judging. A second round of judging will follow, with the nominations for this year's UKMVAs will be announced in late September.
The ceremony itself and the afterparty of the UK Music Video Awards 2017, the big night of the year for music videos, takes place for the third year running at the legendary Roundhouse in London on Thursday, October 26th.
