Straight 8, the long-running Super 8mm film competition, has got together with the APA to challenge British ad industry companies to make their own films on one reel of Super 8mm cartridge, which will be shown for the first time at a screening during the advertising festival at Cannes next week.

19 films by 19 companies will be screened - seen for the first time by everyone, including their makers – at the Straight 8 Industry Shootout in Cinema Les Arcades in Cannes, at 11am on June 23rd. Tickets are available now with proceeds going to Bloodwise, the charity nominated by the Fireflies cycling fundraisers.

The Industry Shootout follows the completion of this year's annual Straight 8mm competition, with the winning entries also being shown at Cannes, during last month's Cannes Film Festival.
