Jeremy Cole joins My Accomplice

Jeremy Cole joins My Accomplice

David Knight - 5th May 2017

Jeremy Cole, director of videos for Young Fathers, Etta Bond and Little Simz, has signed to My Accomplice for music videos and commercial representation.

Starting out as a freelance editor / motion GFX designer, after studying TV Design & Production at Kingston University, Cole moved into directing in 2012 with A Day In The Life Of My Stepdad; a short film about the influential role of a stepdad to a young boy growing up in Stockwell. Filmed in a day, it was premiered on Channel 4 and played at festivals around the world.

He then attained acclaim with his three series of Four To The Floor for Channel 4 Music, which showcased new UK artists and featured innovative visuals, animation and music. The series was described as “TV that restores faith in the future”, by the Guardian, and beat Jules Holland, Glastonbury and The BRITS to pick up the 2016 Broadcast Award for Best Music Show.

Cole then went on to direct and conceive music videos and commercials alongside his docs and TV shows, collaborating with some of his favourite artists and people, including Young Fathers, Lil Simz and Etta Bond.

"Jeremy is a multi-talented individual," says Jamie Clark, founder and MD of My Accomplice. "His work has a very strong visual style that runs through it and he is also an extremely strong storyteller. His output includes award winning short films and TV series, through to fantastic music videos for the likes of Young Fathers and Lil Simz. It’s that breadth of experience that we are really looking forward to partnering with. My Accomplice are delighted to be working with Jeremy and developing his music video and commercials career alongside his film output. Jeremy challenges himself with every project he does and his work pushes the boundaries with how we both tell and consume stories. He is also a very nice chap!"

Jeremy Cole adds: “I’ve talked with and worked with a lot of production companies, but found MA’s long term plan to nurture directors refreshing. Not to mention being a big fan of most of the directors on the roster already. I think My Accomplice have an exciting future and I want to be a part of that."
