UK Music Video Awards 2016: Rushes sponsors Best Pop Video UK award at UKMVAs
Top post production facility Rushes is continuing its long association with the UK Music Video Awards by sponsoring the award for Best Pop Video UK at the UKMVAs 2016.
Confirmation of the partnership that began with the first UKMVAs in 2008, comes as the award-winning creative studio approaches its 40th anniversary. Rushes opened its doors for the first time during the creative explosion that saw The Sex Pistols channel teenage angst and Vivienne Westwood's unique work come to the fore.
In the following 40 years of work on all kinds of visual content, Rushes' commitment to music video creativity, and their nurturing of the artform and the people who make them, has been reflected in thousands of music videos, from the early days of the industry to the present day. In that time, Rushes have post-produced seminal videos for the likes of Dire Straits, Michael Jackson and U2, through to recent promos for Tine Tempah, Brooke Candy and Nile Rodgers.
"Rushes have long recognised and supported the creativity and artistry that music videos provide," says Joce Capper, MD of Rushes. "The music video industry has helped form our DNA and are a wonderful genre of filmmaking and artistic expression. There are no rules with promos, apart from helping amazing ideas and stories come to life. That’s been a huge privilege. Once again Rushes are delighted to support UKMVAs through the sponsorship of the Best Pop Video award. We applaud the work of all the finalist filmmakers work and wish them good luck!”
