Electric Theatre Collective, one of London's top visual effects companies, has announced that it will be a partner of the UK Music Video Awards 2016, sponsoring the Best New Director award, one of the most prestigious awards at the UKMVAs, for the third year in succession.

Established in 2012, Electric Theatre Collective has quickly become one of the premiere facilities for post production in advertising, film and music video in the UK, with departments for visual effects, colour grading and animation. In September last year, ETC expanded operations to the US, opening a second studio in Santa Monica.

Electric Theatre Collective co-founders, producer Lee Pavey and colourist Aubrey Woodiwiss, say the company is pleased to be once again supporting the Best New Director award at the UKMVAs, which celebrates the best work in music video in the UK and around the world.

"At Electric Theatre we pride ourselves on working with and helping develop the best new talent, should that be our staff, creatives, producers or directors, so sponsoring this award is really important to us. If you look at the people who have won this prize in the past, you can see that it is an award that picks out the best young talent. The winner always goes on to great things, and to hand over their first award to them is pretty amazing."

Best New Director is one of over 30 awards that are open for entry until the deadline at midnight (BST) on Tuesday, August 2nd 2016. You can find out more about all the categories, and enter here

Following the entry deadline, judging of the UKMVAs begins next month. Nominations will then be announced in late September. The UK Music Video Awards 2016 ceremony itself takes place for the second year running at the legendary Roundhouse in London, on Thursday October 20th. You can find out more about the UK Music Video Awards 2016 at ukmva.com.
