24th Camerimage Festival - call for entries for Music Videos Competition

David Knight - 15th June 2016

The Music Videos Competition at this year's Camerimage, the international film festival of the art of cinematography, which will hold its 24th annual event in Bydgoszcz, Poland in November, is now open for submissions.

Camerimage accepts entries from around the world, and the deadline for this year's competition is 15th August 2016, with the nominations announced on 4th October. The 24rd edition of CAMERIMAGE will be held 12-19 November, with the selected videos being screened during the festival on the main screen of the festival’s centre, the Opera Nova.

The two awards that comprise Camerimage's Music Videos Competition - Best Cinematography in a Music Video, and Best Music Video – will be judged by an international jury of film and music industry professionals during the festival. Last year’s jury, chaired by cinematographer Martin Coppen, accompanied by cinematographers Ellen Kuras and John de Borman, and director/DoP Phil Abraham, picked one winner of both awards - the video for Kendrick Lamar's Alright.

Furthermore, the Camerimage Music Video Competition will once again be accompanied by “Music Videos: The Master Class Series” where outstanding professionals present their best videos and share their experience with the attendees.
