Ola Martin Fjeld of the Nordic Music Awards says: "The quality of work submitted this year has been truly amazing. Actually, I will say that we have seen somewhat of a small revolution when it comes to music videos in the Nordic countries. The mediocre videos have become great and the great videos have become extraordinary. Making it extremely difficult to be nominated to the NMVA.

"Also its great to see videos from international acclaimed artists like David Bowie and Major Lazer side by side with, until now, unknown bands like Cazadores and Milkywhale, with less than 10 000 views. The diversity of ideas in the 30 nominated videos tells us that a joint creative spark has been lit in the Nordic countries."

• Tickets to the Nordic Music Video Awards 2016, hed at the Cosmopolite in Oslo, Norway on 21st May are available here.
