Copenhagen-based filmmaker Martin Garde Abildgaard has now signed to Blink for commercials and music video representation in the UK.

With an energetic and moving articulation of the surreal, Garde Abildgaard is a filmmaker who brings a strong visual style to his commercials and music videos. His work includes commercials for BMW, Sony, Vans, Koenigsegg and Adidas, and music videos for Kill J and Fitness Figures.

In 2015, he picked up the Young Directors’ Award at Cannes for his short film Hypoxia, and has had his work recognised on Shots and 1.4. As well as from directing, Martin also works as an artist, his mixed media project America having toured as a solo exhibition through France, Sweden and Denmark. 

Before directing, Martin was an agency creative director in Copenhagen, then creative director at various international TV production companies, where he developed concepts focused on documentary and factual genres.
