Chris Abitbol, former rep at OB Management, has returned to the world of music videos to head up the music department at Wanda for both France and the UK.

Abitbol joins Wanda as Head of Music after a two-year hiatus from the industry – during which time he developed a new juice bar and music venue in Peckham, south London – and he has expressed his delight to be working at the production company which has offices in both Paris and London. The Wanda directing roster includes Leila & Damien De Blinkk, Nathalie Canguilhem, James Lees, M A T, The Apiary, Graydon Sheppard and Thomas Tyman.

"I wouldn't have come back from the wonderful world of juice for just anyone," says Abitbol. "I'm beyond stoked to be able to work with a company like Wanda who will always stand by creative projects and artistic integrity."

He adds that the focus is to work with the right artists on the right projects. "I love music videos as much as the next guy, but we're lucky enough to now exist in a musical climate which promotes thinking outside of the box and more experimentation," he says. "I want to try and be as interactive as possible in everything that we do. On the whole, everything feels less formulaic then it did 3 years ago - and that's exciting."
