Dougal Wilson launches MusicVidFest 2015 on November 4th

Promo News - 29th Oct 2015

Dougal Wilson, one of the biggest names in British music videos and commercials, will kick off the MusicVidFest conference on Wednesday, November 4th, talking about how he created some of his most celebrated videos.

In Late Breakfast with Dougal Wilson, the award-winning director will be talking to Promo News editor David Knight about his famously idiosyncratic approach to making music videos, including The Streets' Fit But You Know It, The Temper Trap's Love Lost, and his recent long-awaited return to music videos for Stealing Sheep's Apparition.

It promises to be an entertaining and informative start to a day devoted to all things music video - including a cinematography panel with top DoPs Steve Annis and Adam Scarth, a session on the process of turning ideas into videos (called Smack My Pitch Up); a discussion about the potential impact of VR on the medium; and a keynote speech from Sony Music VP of Creative and head of music videos, Mike O'Keefe.

With contributions from all areas of British music videos, including directors, producers, commissioners, cinematographers and post artists, more details on the MusicVidFest programme, which takes place the day before the UK Music Video Awards 2015, can be found at musicvidfest.com, and ticket info is here
