Kode Media have signed directors Jim Canty and Ryan Andrews to the roster of US office Kode New York, and appointed Tommy Labuda as their US music video representative.
British director Jim Canty is now working in the US, having previously worked with some of the biggest British music acts, including Mumford & Sons, Biffy Clyro and Kaiser Chiefs, while on the commercial side, his work includes quirky comedy spots for Nike, Playstation and Coca-Cola. Canty recently shot the video for Catfish and the Bottlemen's Hourglass featuring Ewan McGregor (above), and he is currently finishing up his second short, The Conservatory, due for release Autumn 2015.
Ryan Andrews also joins Kode, bringing with him a back-catalogue of early work with pop star Charli XCX and recent promos for the likes of A$AP Ferg and Odd Future. Ryan begins his US residency at the end of 2015 and will currently be working from Kode's London offices until then.
Tommy Labuda will represent Kode's UK and US roster in the United States, working closely with Kode's UK representative Carrie Sutton. Tommy's impressive portfolio includes a recent VMA award-winning selection for Kendrick Lamar's ‘Alright’ and Nicki Minaj’s ‘Anaconda’, as well as hundreds of recognised music promo releases commissioned globally. Contact Nathan Killham, Head of Music Video for more information. - nathan@kodemedia.com
