UK Music Video Awards 2015: entry deadline now extended to August 11th

Cat Velez - 4th Aug 2015

The entry deadline for over 30 categories at the UK Music Video Awards 2015 has been extended from tomorrow, (Wednesday, August 5th) to next Tuesday, August 11th.

That means there's now one week to enter the UK Music Video Awards 2015, from today August 4th. All work must be uploaded to the judging platform by midnight in the UK (BST) on the 11th.

The entry process is straightforward. To enter a video to be considered for a music genre, technical achievement, lyric video or interactive award, go to the UK Music Video Awards 2015 website, fill in the online entry form, pay the entry fee and upload the video to the online judging platform, ready for the first round of judging for this year’s MVAs.

For the live coverage and documentary awards, fill in the online entry form, pay the entry fee and the UKMVA team will get back in touch to request copies of the films on DVD.

If you wish to submit a person to one of the individual awards at the MVAs - for best director, producer, new director, commissioner, and of course, best artist (for a body of work in music video for the past year) – then go to ukmva.com, complete the entry form and pay the fee, then add the name of the individual, individuals, or music act you wish to submit for judging, adding links to their work.

As usual, there are fifteen Best Video categories to choose from, for music videos of all shapes and sizes made in the past year, from August 1st 2014, to July 31st 2015. Each music genre – Pop, Dance, Urban, Indie/Rock and Alternative, has its own UK, International and Budget award (for a video made for under GB£5k.)  In addition, there is a category for interactive videos and the new category for best lyric video.

There are eight technical achievement categories: Animation, Art direction/design, Cinematography, Choreography, Editing, Styling, Telecine, and Visual Effects. And the entry deadline has also been extended to the awards for the best direction of a live music performance and for yet another new category this year, best music documentary.

A full list of awards, their rules of entry, and terms and conditions can also be found at the UKMVAs website. You can also contact the UKMVA 15 team at info@ukmva.com with any queries.

The UK Music Video Awards 2015 and aftershow party takes place at the Roundhouse in Camden on November 5th 2015.
