UK Music Video Awards 2015: Electric Theatre Collective sponsors Best New Director award
Electric Theatre Collective, one of London's top visual effects companies, has announced that it will be a partner of the UK Music Video Awards 2015, sponsoring one of the premier msic video award show's most prestigious honours - the Best New Director award.
Established in 2012, Electric Theatre Collective has become one of the premiere facilities for post production in advertising, film and music video in the UK, with departments for visual effects, colour grading and animation. It's the second year in succession that the company is sponsoring the Best New Director prize at the UK Music Video Awards, which celebrates the best work in music video in the UK and around the world.
Electric Theatre Collective co-founders, producer Lee Pavey and colourist Aubrey Woodiwiss, say the company is pleased to be supporting an award that is so important at the UKMVAs and to every recipient in the award show's eight-year history.
"At Electric Theatre we pride ourselves on working with and helping develop the best new talent, should that be our staff, creatives, producers or directors, so sponsoring this award is really important to us.
"If you look at the people who have won this prize in the past, you can see that it is an award that picks out the best young talent with the winner going on to great things. To hand over their first award to them is pretty amazing and, as we all know, you always remember your first time."
Following the entry deadline, judging of the UKMVAs starts next month, with nominations then be announced in October, and the UK Music Video Awards 2015 ceremony itself will be held for the first time at the Roundhouse on Thursday November 5th.
