Colourist Jon Leese-Pomfret, whose music video credits includes videos for Sigma, Gaz Coombes and Tough Love, has joined Four Walls to head up the company's new Baselight colour grading suite.
Leese-Pomfret arrives at Four Walls have learned his craft at Prime Focus and latterly based at Raised By Wolves, establishing himself on commercial projects for Nissan, Cadburys and Dominos, and on pop promos for Sigma and Paloma Faith, Hozier and pop princess Ella Eyre, with founders of Familia Films, Craig Moore and Francis Wallis, Franklyn Banks, and with Irish director Anthony Byrne.
The launch of the Baselight at Four Walls is also part of an expansion at the post production house, which also includes the creation of an on-site motion graphics studio, at the Soho premises they share with leading editors Cut+Run London.
Founded by VFX artist Andy Brown in 2006, Four Walls formed a partnership with Cut+Run in 2010, the two companies collaborating creatively on numerous projects ever since. The developments at Four Walls follow the creation of the Cut+Run Promos & Content division earlier this year. The arrival of Leese-Pomfret in the new grading suite means a colourist experienced in grading commercials and music videos is now working on-site at the Wardour Street premises.
“It's a really exciting time here at Four Walls and it's great to have been involved with the expansion from the very beginning, helping Andy design the new suites and getting it off the ground," commented Leese-Pomfret. "We have an amazing team here at Four Walls and I'm really looking forward to getting started and working alongside the talented bunch at Cut+ Run on our first projects together.
“I love the fact that music is such a big part of my job as a colourist - whether it's grading promos or listening to tunes in the suite.”
“We are delighted to have Jon join the team," added Andy Brown. "Having such a talented colourist to lead our new Baselight suite is going to make a massive difference to us and our clients.”
