The Bengali-born Patwary has worked with artists from Beyonce to Diplo to N-E-R-D to Skrillex, and he maintains an ongoing working relationship with A$AP Mob - having directed many A$AP Ferg / Rocky videos from Work to Multiply.

One of his most notable music videos, Lupe Fiasco’s I’m Beaming, received critical acclaim from New York Post, which called it “a breath of fresh air”. And in addition to his music video work, Shomi has worked as Creative Director for Karmaloop's video outlet KarmaloopTV as well as senior producer for The Fader’s video content. Now he joins Kode’s directors’ roster where he will be pitched on music video and commercial projects across both sides of the Atlantic.

“We are very excited to have Shomi on the team and look forward to bringing his talent for music videos to the world of commercials and branded content,” says Thomas Byrd, MD of Kode New York, while Nathan Killham, head of msuic videos at Kode London adds, “We’re really excited to have Shomi joining us at Kode, and look forward to producing more of the unique quality of videos he is known for.”
