LA-based director, animator and all-round creative whizz Carlos Lopez Estrada has signed to Black Dog in the UK for music videos.

The director of three acclaimed videos for Clipping, including the one-shot for Work Work, and the head-popping animation of Inside Out, and co-director (with Nelson de Castro) of the new Hook N Sling video Break Yourself – Lopez Estrada has combined live action with animation and visual effects to create a stream of highly entertaining leftfield promos in the past couple of years.

Maximum Balloon (from TVOTR producer Dave Sitek), indietronica band Passion Pit, veteran rockers the Goo Goo Dolls, and Swiss rapper Leal have all benefited from the Carlos Lopez Estrada treatment – and each now boast a groundbreaking video in their back-catalogue.

Lopez Estrada is also the youngest director to ever receive a Latin Grammy Award. He continues to be represented in the US by Doomsday Entertainment.
