Bullion sign Uncle Friendly

Bullion sign Uncle Friendly

Cat Velez - 24th Mar 2015

Bullion has signed Uncle Friendly, the director of the Sam Rockwell-starring video for Flight Facilities' Down To Earth, for music videos in the UK.

Uncle Friendly is otherwise known as Sydney-based Rhett Wade Ferrell, who began his music video career as part of the collective Moop Jaw, producing and directing for the likes of The Temper Trap, Gameboy/Gamegirl, Flume, Chet Faker and Bag Raiders.

In just a few months since launching his Uncle Friendly identity in late 2014 he has produced and directed three successful videos from the Flight Facilities debut album. Firstly, Crave You was a short but poignant video with Kylie Minogue and some beautifully stripped-back vocals. The next was Sunshine, showcasing the hilarious comedian and performer Reggie Watts's enigmatic dance moves.

Finally, his video for the track Down To Earth assembled a dream team, with killer dance moves devised by legendary choreographer Vincent Paterson (Aphex Twin’s Windowlicker, Michael Jackson's Thriller, Smooth Criminal, and Black or White) performed by actor Sam Rockwell.

Rhett’s first short film Markers is on the 2015 festival circuit and he is currently working on the development of his first feature Gutterman with American screenwriter RFI Porto (Blue Caprice, Kanye West’s Cruel Summer).
