Ben Andrews, who has directed videos for Monophona's Thumb (pictured) and Sleep Party People's In Another World, has signed to Crossfire Productions for UK and US representation - the first success for Radar Music Videos' new Emerging Director Development Scheme.
The scheme is designed to help up-and-coming directors to get signed to production companies, through access to real-life briefs, career advice and personal connection with leading commissioners, reps and production companies.
Crossfire is one of nine APA-registered production companies trialling the Emerging Director Development Scheme, which is how the company's MD Dave Graham was introduced to Ben Andrews. "We’re thrilled to have found Ben as he already has a decent amount of quality music videos under his belt that showcase his captivating style and huge potential. Massive thank you to Caroline and the Radar team for inviting us to be a part of this.”
Ben says: “I cannot begin to tell you how thankful I am to Radar for helping me achieve this goal. I have been waiting years for this to happen. Still trying to get my head round it!”
Radar’s MD Caroline Bottomley comments: “Our goal is to get talented directors signed and on their way to a successful career. We’re getting reports from other partners that they’re inviting our selected directors in for a cosy chat - so this is all very encouraging!”
