London-based production company Nice & Polite has expanded its directing roster, with a number of new directors recently joining the company: Chris Hugall, Jake Jelicich, Jade Mortimer, Dominic O'Riordan and Sophia Ray.

Sophia Ray won an MTV VMA last August for the Five Seconds Of Summer lyric video for Don't Stop. The director, with a background in graphic design and animation, has also created a lyric video for Lily Allen and Charlie XCX, and completed music projects for Ed Thomas and Rough Trade, and commercial projects for Virgin Media and Beagle Street.

Chris Hugall's punk/DIY-aesthetic music videos for Slaves, Axes and 2:54 (co-directed with Charlie Robins) have featured on Promo News; Dominic O'Riordan's photographic based work includes the steamy promo for Jagga's Love The Pain as well as projects for Sony and Canon.

Jade Mortimer's distinctive visual style and flair for art direction and bold playful imagery has informed videos for Munk ft Mona Lazette (pictured above) and The Stowaways. Jake Jelicich's visual flair is evident in his video for Meanwhile's All For The Taking and Penny Skateboards' Holiday Series ad. With a background in graphic design and animation,

Nice & Polite – founded by Ross Anderson, formerly senior commissioner at Polydor in London, three years ago – has established itself with a diverse range of projects, from music videos to lyric videos, TVCs, longforms and design work. Among the other directors on the N&P roster, in the past year Michael Holyk has worked with Sam Smith and new rising star Jack Garrett, Urban Strom has worked with classical superstars Kirsty Bertarelli and Katherine Jenkins, Ivan Ogilvie has been travelling and working in Africa, and Alex Grazioli has been working on longform projects with UNKLE And Massive Attack.
