Blur Producciones in Barcelona opens music video division

Blur Producciones, the successful Spanish commercial production company based in both Barcelona and Madrid which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, has launched an international music video division, promoting the economic option of shooting in Spain, with a roster of directors with experience directing music projects, Now represented by Kate Jenner, the company's British-born rep and producer for music videos and ads.
The Blur roster looking for more action in music videos includes Lorena Medina, who directed the video for Skunk Anansie's This Is Not A Game last year, as part of the directing duo Lore&Jun, and has also directed a promo for the San Miguel Primavera Sound Festival (above), as well as ads for the likes of Amstel and Toyota.
Lorena recently joined the Blur directors roster, which also includes Titan Pozo, whose work includes another promo for Primavera Sound Festival, the videos for Spanish band Leiva's Vis A Vis and Eme, and Money's Lies, and is now looking to attract video commissions from beyond Spain; Nico Kasakoff, who has shot big brand names such as Coca Cola, Ford, Stella Artois, worked with Fallon London on Think Money, and is now looking to expand into music; directing collective The Lover, who directed the Benjamin Biolay and Vanessa Paradis video for Profite, have two more videos in production, and have done campaigns for the prestigious Ciclope Festival, Canal Plus and Stella Artois.
Other directors include young Catalan director Ginesta, whose small campaign for Massimo Dutti’s magazine was picked up by the head clients and used as part of an international campaign, and who has also worked on advertising campaigns for the Women’s Marathon of Mallorca, Decathlon and Wallapop (a second hand market app well known in Spain). Blur also represents Chino Moya in Spain- well known in the UK for directing the UKMVA nominated video for St Vincent's Digital Witness, Supersubmarina’s Supersubmarina and many more.
Blur has shot many music videos for Spanish artists, as well as two feature films, and shot advertising for Spain, UK, South America, and the US. Other directors include Hugo Meduiña, Fede Cummins, Martin Jalfen, Marc Corominas, Roi Ricci and Alberto Blanco. The company has also provided production services since its launch in 2004, to assist the economically sound option of shooting ads and music videos in Spain.
