Ben Strebel joins Caviar in the UK & US

Caviar have now signed the British-Swiss filmmaker Ben Strebel, whose work includes music videos for Clock Opera, Moko and Gorgon City, to their directing roster for the UK & US representation. 

Renowned for his strongly narrative approach to his filmmaking, with strong emphasis on casting, performance and storytelling, Ben has garnered praise, awards and festival screenings for his work that includes a trilogy of linked videos for Javeon – Lovesong, Give Up and Intoxicated – and the video for Clock Opera's Once And For All, that was shown at the Raindance and London Short Film Festivals. 

He has also directed several commercials  & content pieces for brands such as BMW, VW, McDonalds, Vivienne Westwood, All Saints, the UK charity Missing People and Tesco’s. He was awarded the prestigious Young Directors Award in Cannes in 2012. And his hard-hitting immersive interactive piece for the French nautical brand Guy Cotton entitled A Trip Out To Sea, warning about the dangers of drowning, picked up x1 Gold and x4 Bronze Lions at the 2014 Cannes Lions.

Watch Your Step, his latest work for Fussverkehr, the Swiss pedestrian safety NGO was created in association with Ballet Zurich. It’s an intense and stunning visual piece, that follows a ballerina performing a dramatic piece of choreography, before a tragic, impactful ending is revealed. Strebel developed the idea with the client and picked up a creative director credit for the film.
