Academy Films/A+ sign Anders Malmberg
Academy Films/A+ have signed Anders Malmberg, Danish director of music videos for Mø, Choir Of Young Believers and others, and ad content for Clarks and others, to their directors' roster.
Anders began his career as an editor, working on everything from art films to TV spots. After making a number of DIY short film projects and working in stills photography, he studied fine art/photography at Gothenburg University. His fine art roots are present in the painterly nature of much of his work, such as the promos for Mø's Waste Of Time.
The signing coincides with Anders completing the video for Wildbirds & Peacedrums' Keep Some Hope, through Danish production company The Woerks.
“I was delighted when Anders agreed to join us here at Academy," says Liz Kessler, Academy/ A+'s head of music videos. "His original and creative work are a perfect fit for Academy/A+ and we’re looking forward to bringing his vision to the UK.”
