Leading London visual effects company Electric Theatre Collective are the latest partners of the UK Music Video Awards 2014, in order to sponsor one of the most prestigious honours at the UKMVAs - for Best New Director.

Set up in 2012, Electric Theatre has quickly established itself an important centre for post production in advertising, film and music video, with departments for visual effects, colour grading and animation – and is sponsoring an award at the UKMVAs, which celebrates the best work in music video in the UK and around the world, for the first time. 

Aubrey Woodiwiss, co-founder of Electric Theatre, director of colour grading – and a previous winner at the MVAs himself – says that sponsoring the Best New Director award at the MVAs is part of their commitment to supporting up-and-coming talent.

"At Electric Theatre Collective we feel its important to support young talent and help nurture their ideas and innovation where ever we can," says Aubrey. "To sponsor the prestigious Best New Director award is an honour and extension of that belief. It's super exciting to be involved, and we look forward to celebrating and recognising the next new young bright star of directing."

As with the other awards celebrating the work of individuals at the MVAs, entries are now being accepted for the Best New Director Award at the UK Music Video Awards website. The final deadline for entry to over 30 awards at this year's MVAs is next Tuesday, August 12th at midnight, BST.

With judging to the MVAs starting later this month, and the nominations announced in October, the ceremony of the UK Music Video Awards 2014 will be held at the Southbank Centre on Monday, November 10th. Tickets will be on sale via the UKMVA website shortly.
