The UK Music Video Awards 2014 – the premier awards show dedicated to celebrating the best work in music videos from the UK and around the world – has launched today, with the UKMVA website now accepting entries.

The starting gun has now been fired on the process that will culminate in the big night of the year for music videos in a few months time. For the second year running, the UK Music Video Awards' annual ceremony will be held at the Southbank Centre in London - on Monday, November 10th.

And with a wide range of awards recognising innovation, creativity and technical excellence in music videos, the MVAs have introduced a change in the entry procedures this year which means that music video makers can now enter over 30 separate categories.

Furthermore, there is a brand new award in the Individual section, for Best Video Artist, recognising the contribution of a band or an individual artist who has delivered an outstanding set of videos in the past year.

Following the entry deadline, all entries in the best video, technical achievement and individual categories will be judged by the MVA Jury Members – invited members of the UK music video industry – via a two-round judging system. All entries will be initially judged by juries courtesy of the online voting platform on the website.
