James Tillett, one of London's most popular colourists, has relocated to MPC in New York. James joins the US team after three years of success at MPC London, where he cemented his position as one of the top graders of music videos in the UK, and also worked with many of the advertising industry's leading directors including dom&nic, thirtytwo, Sumo Science, Sebastian Strasser, and Patrick Daughters.
James was winner of Best Telecine in a Music Video at the UK Music Video Awards in 2012 for his work on Temper Trap's Trembling Hands, and numerous music video credits also include Jon Hopkins' Open Eye Signal, Delphic's This Momentary, Calvin Harris's I Need Your Love and Phoenix's Entertainment. James has twice been featured in the Televisual Best Colorists survey.
“We’re excited for James to be part of the New York family and complement the strong quality of work in the studio, working alongside our fellow Colorist Adrian Seery,” says MPC NY Executive Producer Justin Brukman. “James has been an integral aspect of MPC Color’s incredible work, and knows how to serve the storytelling and creative process well. We’re extremely honoured to have him.”
